Happy New Year everyone :)
Hope everyone managed a nice festive break. Most folk I've spoken to this year seem genuinely optimistic about a more normal 2022, hopefully bringing more events/awards etc, and therefore more opportunity for us all!
I try to justify the time spending collating these newsletters to raise awareness of my other undertakings (check out the Games Jobs Live recruitment events coming up!), but in truth, they're mostly 'community work'. So if anyone knows a potential sponsor that would help make these newsletters more sustainable, please spread the good word :)

[Scot] University of Dundee New Business Idea Competition
Deadline 1st February. For students, staff and recent graduates of UoD. £44k of prizes on offer.
[🇬🇧] VocTech Seed
Deadline 9th February. Grants of between £15,000 and £50,000 for projects lasting from three to 12 months that use digital tools and approaches to transform how people gain skills for work.
[N.Ireland] Creative Industries Seed Fund
Deadline 28th February. Grants of up to £25k to develop partnerships that use immersive technologies to expand how arts can be distributed and utilised in new ways.
[🇬🇧] Deutsche Bank Awards for Creative Entrepreneurs
Deadline 31st March. £60,000 prize fund and £100,000 worth of business support. For 18-30 year olds.
[🇬🇧] Innovate UK Smart Grants
Deadline 13th April. Project costs must be between £100,000 and £2m. Up to 70% of the cost can be covered by the grant
